From time to time positions are available at our practice. If any opportunities are available they will be listed below.
Kippax Veterinary Hospital is excited to announce that we have two positions available within the clinic due to recent renovations allowing for expansion of our services. We are looking for the right individual who shows initiative, has a positive attitude and is eager to learn. Experience is preferred for these positions but trainees will be considered.
Our hospital is a happy and fast paced environment. You will be joining a team of enthusiastic and hard working veterinarians and support staff who strive to go above and beyond for our clientele and their pets.
The two positions we currently have available in the clinic are in our Client Relations and Nursing Teams.
The successful nursing candidate would enjoy using all our modern equipment and systems including Ezyvet, Smartflow, IDEXX inhouse laboratory, ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography and endoscopy. We encourage our nurses to use all their skills in anaesthesia, dentistry, imaging, medical nursing and consulting. We are supportive of continuing education and encourage a rigorous learning environment within the clinic from day to day.
The successful client relations candidate will work with a dedicated front of house team and have the vital role of being the first point of contact for our clients, working out how best to help them and their pets as well as creating a successfully scheduled day for the rest of the staff.
The qualities that we expect of all our staff include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to the veterinary industry
- A capacity to work autonomously but know when to ask for help
- Punctuality and reliability
- Ability to work under pressure
- Calm and honest demeanor
- Willingness to be a team player
Whether you are a vet, a nurse or client relations staff member, we pride ourselves in working as a team to support each other and therefore be able to deliver the best service in a positive and successful environment.
For the right person, either of these roles could be part time or full time. The conditions are consistent with the award and the remuneration will be dependent on experience.
Please send your cover letter and CV or just an enquiry for further information to either:

Past Employment Reviews
“ I was at Kippax vet for 3 years before changing careers. The team at Kippax is a support system like no other. The vet industry can be emotional and labouring however Alison and the team always made our well-being a priority.
I had, and still do have an enormous amount of pride when I say I worked at Kippax vet. The level of care and standards that Kippax holds themselves too is not like anywhere else I have worked for. I have full trust in every veterinarian and nursing staff with my own animals and anyone else's.
The management team at Kippax were always supportive of people wanting progress within their careers. With their ownership of many other clinics in Canberra it means endless room to grow and experience new things, whilst maintaining that feeling of family you don't experience in larger corporations.
Kippax vet makes me miss the industry immensely and that's a tribute to the team and environment they provide.” - Chloe Gash, 2022
